About The Founder

Deepak brings over three decades of experience in financial services and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), with a career spanning global investment banking, corporate strategy, and international deal-making.
He began his journey in 1993 in India’s emerging financial services sector and, since 2002, has focused on M&A, working with leading institutions including UBS, Barclays, CIBC, and Avendus. He has also held senior corporate development roles within large multinational corporations, gaining a well-rounded perspective on both advisory and in-house deal execution.
Since 2015, Deepak has specialized in the Technology Services sector, particularly in Central and Eastern Europe. He has successfully led cross-border transactions involving a wide range of countries including the USA, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, India, Italy, Germany, Belarus, Ukraine, Netherlands and several other geographies. His work across various geographies has given him deep insights into local regulatory frameworks and the practical complexities involved in such transactions.
Deepak is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary (India), and an MBA from London Business School. This blend of financial, legal, and strategic expertise allows him to lead deals end-to-end — from valuation and due diligence to negotiations and post-transaction integration.
Deepak founded Marylebone Capital with the belief that M&A in the Technology Services industry requires a personalized, hands-on approach. At its core, this industry is driven by people — and Deepak brings a people-first mindset to every transaction.
